It All Comes Around

Hand over hand
we all wait in line
sometimes we see
often we just feel the end
sometimes we feel it
like warmth down deep
like love recalled
then we know
it all comes around again,
when we are alone
in the night
waiting for a feeling
waiting for something to happen
the blackness seems deeper
than the truth we once knew
dreams come in all shapes
like ones we remember
and ones we never can forget
but it always ends up hand in hand
we all wait
like the gate that opens at dawn
heaven's beauty at the mantel
telling us it all comes around
and around again
