I have no idea what happened
one moment in the middle of the afternoon
I was shooting a photo,
the next moment I realized
it was night,
what happened in between
I will never know
but someone said they saw something in this shot
that was in my jacket pocket
that I left at the cafe
when I woke up the next day
it was in my mail box
with a note
"you left this behind, think it worth keeping"

I like simmering

shivering japalenos on the stove
simmering cucumbers in the dishwasher

i want to watch you from my other account
which has a fire going on as well
this here is just the hot camera
but i keep forgetting ...

now that sounds like a dish and a half
sliding tomitilla peppers down below
splattering words across the table

hot camera on the rise
ohhh thought it was a burning pier...pire...
not sure how to spell that

I see a gunslinger on the dusty street
someone has a camera
it's a movie set
someone got shot
someone is taking notes

someone calls lunchtime
someone knew best

keep the fire on low there
when you are out of the kitchen
i threw a towel down once on the stove and went into the studio

till i smelled smoke
all ended ok
lunch was ruined and so was my towel

and while the hero feels
the last warmth of the sun
on the shiny metal of his
smith & wesson

the surfer boys
on the other side
of this wide ocean
are dropping their towels

yours has burned
but i am sure
it was wort the effort
and a hungry lunchtime

the heroes always wait
after the metal clicks
past the high of noon
no Cooper's left
just the whispers of yesterday

the waves crash
the boys lose their nerve
wait for the ones who have been
wait for experience over daring

at lunch
they all converse
some with sand in their hair
some with blood in their eyes

That reminds me of the song "The Space Between"By Dave Matthews Band. I like this. I can relate to it somehow.
